As they approached the garden, His footsteps slowed. The laughter from earlier had faded. What had started as a night of fellowship and teaching had turned into something heavier. The air felt different. The conversation grew quiet. They were stepping into something sacred, something that even His closest friends didn’t fully understand.
By the time they reached Gethsemane, Jesus came to a stop. This wasn’t just another moment of prayer. This was the place where everything in Him would be pressed. It wasn’t the crowd. It wasn’t the cross. It was here, in the quiet of the olive grove, that the decision would be made.
He brought His friends with Him. Not the multitude. Just the few. And even then, He would soon be praying alone.
Before there was blood at Calvary, there were tears in the garden. Gethsemane is not just where Jesus struggled. It is where He showed us how to walk through pressure with purpose.
